True to its name, Mod Green House combines modern design principals with sustainable methods and materials. The owners, an initiative director at the EPA, and a vice president of the International Humane Society, were committed to reducing the carbon footprint of their home.  At the same time they wanted an open, modern home for their family and pets. The resulting design uses zero-VOC and high recycled content materials, increased natural daylighting, and energy efficient lighting to create a light filled, airy environment that unites all of the spaces on the first floor of the house.
