Center for Dance The Department of Dance at the University of Illinois Dance currently lacks the space needed for research in the field of performance. The new Center for Dance will provide rehearsal studios, media studios, classrooms, library, office space and a public café for the Department. The Center will also be a leader in new technologies, practices and policies in sustainable energy. It will be the most innovative example of sustainable energy practices on the campus and will facilitate the incorporation of technology and the arts, and highlight interdisciplinary collaborations. The Center will showcase a technology lab for dance and promote health and wellness into departmental and campus life by incorporating life and leisure, art and practice.
