Rehoboth House is a modern hybrid of a traditional beach cottage and a Michigan North Woods lake house. The home overlooks the Rehoboth-Lewes Canal in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and is nestled amid existing trees to preserve the site’s natural beauty and heighten the experience of living in the woods. Inside the home, horizontal and vertical openings deconstruct tree views. Outside, a rear deck frames views of the canal, the woods, and the sky above. In keeping with the owner’s Michigan roots, materials are drawn from both beach and North Woods vernaculars.
