St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School is a college preparatory Episcopal Church School in the Diocese of Virginia that educates boys and girls from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The new Chapel and Performing Arts Center is nestled within an existing courtyard on the Upper School Campus. The 20,000 S.F. facility serves as the center for both the religious and performing arts components of the Upper School. The building is composed of three primary elements: a fan shaped 500 seat Chapel/ Auditorium with stage, scene shop, and backstage areas; an adjacent rectilinear wing, housing the public lobby, rest rooms and backstage support spaces; and a vertical bell tower, which provides a central focus for the school, and houses a small devotional Chapel. Tom Kamm served as project manager and project architect for Cox Graae + Spack Architects.
